Abstract :
A general three ray channel model for microwave radio applications is simulated with the constituent amplitudes and delays as random variables. The amplitudes are assumed to follow a Gaussian or Rayleigh distribution and the delays follow a Gaussian distribution. The mean values and standard deviations of the amplitudes/delays may be related to path parameters and other measurables (ray parameter statistics). Results show that single frequency powers follow a Gamma distribution and this property may be used to derive a simple measure of dispersion induced outage.
