Abstract :
A production flowchart is presented for series production of 223 superconducting Hadron Electron Ring Accelerator dipoles at a rate of one magnet per day. Special emphasis has been placed on the quality-assurance system and on quality control. The production-workflow topics described are: winding and curling of half coils, insulating and collaring, stacking of half yokes, coil-to-yoke assembly, mounting and welding of He vessel half shells and end plates, electrical switchwork, multilayer insulation and heat-shield application, and insertion of magnet and heat shield into the vacuum vessel.
