Abstract :
A new audio system which reproduces reflections of actual concert halls is presented. The system is based on the symmetrical six-point sound-field analysis method and a sound-field simulation method through convolution. The system reproduces realistic sound fields which cannot be reproduced by conventional stereo systems. A method for measuring hall reflections and a calculation method that displays reflections by an audio system in a listening room are described.
