    It was a great privilege to be given the opportunity to be the Guest Editor of this Special Issue of papers arising from the 2008 Workshop on 3D Face Processing, held in conjunction with the IEEE Computer Society Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR) which took place in Anchorage, Alaska.
