  • Abstract
The properties of R2Fe14B-series high-performance permanent magnets are shown to have basic characteristics very sensitive to hydrogen absorption. The cell parameters, Curie temperature, magnetization, anisotropy constants, and coercivity vary nonlinearly with the hydrogen content. Moreover, it is shown how hydrogen absorption can be used as a tool to obtain a better understanding of the possible mechanisms that drive the spin reorientation phenomena.
