Abstract :
A new integrating analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) is proposed. With a small modification to the discharging phase of the traditional single/dual slope converter, error correction may be achieved. If the corrected ADC is embedded in a delta-sigma (DeltaSigma) converter, first-order quantisation noise shaping is achieved. This enhances the noise shaping of the delta-sigma modulator. Simulation results are provided to verify the effectiveness of this structure.
