Abstract :
The wave generation efficiency with respect to phase mismatch in four-wave mixing is verified experimentally in a low-loss dispersion-shifted fibre at the wavelengths of 1.3 and 1.55 μm. The wave generation efficiency evaluated experimentally is clearly explained by the theory covering the measured data of fibre-chromatic dispersion and mode field diameter for the test fibre
