Abstract
We demonstrate that one can improve the coded frame-error-rate of spatial multiplexing in block fading by randomly rotating the signal constellation. Unlike linear precoding, our method: 1) does not require coding over time and 2) brings a performance improvement at essentially no additional computational expense. A discussion of the results is provided.
