Abstract :
CO2channel waveguide lasers have been constructed using boron nitride. This hot-pressed, smooth, easily machinable ceramic has high thermal conductivity and extremely low thermal expansion. These properties make it highly suitable for constructing compact, efficient, amplitude stable, tunable low-power lasers.
