Abstract :
The authors present a new method of temperature retrieval in a lossy material based on the processing of the data measured by a correlation microwave radiometer. This method consists in the resolution of a system of linear equations obtained from radiometric data. It uses both weighting functions defined from the short-range radiation pattern of the antennas and the delay times of the correlator. A feature of the method is that it can retrieve temperature profiles in depth by working at a single frequency
