Abstract :
Existing methods for testing effectiveness of lamination insulation coatings are reviewed. The results of comparative insulation resistance measurements are given, and characteristics of the Franklin method are analyzed. In spite of some drawbacks, the Franklin method can be used to evaluate the quality of insulation coatings. Improvements for the method are suggested. Other standardized methods for equally reliable test results require a larger number of measurements.
