Abstract :
A finite linear circular waveguide rod array using electromagnetic band-gap (EBG) structure has been studied. Active element patterns and real radiation patterns of the finite array are investigated, instead of the reflection coefficients generally adopted in analyzing infinite phased arrays, to evaluate the effect of EBG applications. From the given results, elimination of scan blindness using EBG structure is well verified.
