Abstract :
It is shown that the use of overrelaxation, in the implementation of Gummel´s algorithm in a two-dimensional computer model for MOSFET´s, is markedly effective in speeding up the rate of convergence of the iterative procedure employed. This is particularly notable under conditions of strong inversion.
