  • Abstract
In motorcar factories, there is a growing need for a high surface quality of iron plate. Conventional contact suspensions, such as the roller or arm types, have many surface problems in the processing of thin iron plates. To solve these problems, a magnetically levitated suspension is proposed and demonstrated with a simplified model apparatus which consists of an iron plate levitated by two electromagnets
