Abstract :
A simulation system for testing a video-cassette-recorder servo controller is described. This system simulates all the feedback signals in real time for realistic closed-loop testing. The advantages are speed, flexibility, and reliability. A working prototype was developed on Eurocard-size printed circuit boards, and laboratory tests yielded impressive results. The whole system is compact, and the control signals are simple enough to interface to any computer-based test system
