Abstract
The dissipation factor, sensitive to voltage stress, is invariably used for quality assessment of high voltage rotating machine insulation. When it is subjected to higher electrical stresses, insulation hysteresis occurs during these measurements, which is similar to those exhibited by ferromagnetic materials. The influence of the insulation hysteresis coefficient for micaceous composites used in high voltage machines is discussed in this paper.
