Abstract :
The wall deexcitation effect of the excited CO2molecule on saturation intensity in a CO2waveguide laser was experimentally investigated. The results show that a low gas pressure, saturation intensity is higher than the value predicted without wall deexcitation. The reason for this higher value is discussed.
