Abstract :
We present the closed-form approximated expressions of the cumulative distribution function of the spectral efficiency for noise-limited multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) cellular systems with minimum mean-square-error-based ordered successive interference cancellation (MMSE-OSIC) or zero-forcing (ZF) receivers in a composite channel model, which includes both Rayleigh and log-normal fading. When the users have independent and identically distributed (i.i.d.) channels, we analyze the spectral efficiency of the MIMO time-division multiple-access (TDMA) systems with maximum data rate scheduler. Numerical experiments show that these results can consistently produce highly accurate results.
