Abstract :
Laser emission from NdAl3(BO3)4crystals of various thickness with directly applied laser mirrors was investigated on a polarization-dependent basis and time-resolved spectra were recorded. CW monomode operation with an output power of 5 mW was attained. Though NAB (NdAl3(BO3)4should be electrooptic (space group R32 ), no electrooptic effect was observed by determining the mode shift from the influence of an electric field during laser operation.
