Abstract
A method that allows the theoretical prediction of conductor separability in a single boundary eddy current separator is developed, and its image is described. The method is tested experimentally and shown to be capable of predicting device parameter settings that result in 100% recovery of model elements of rectangular and annular geometry of aluminum, copper and brass. The device parameter settings at which recovery of aluminum and brass commences, i.e., becomes greater than 0%, can also be predicted by the theory
