Abstract
The authors discuss polar Kerr-rotation measurements on III-V diluted magnetic semiconductors in both heterostructures (InMnAs/AlSb) and bulk films (2.5 μm InMnAs on GaAs(100)). The heterostructure shows a strong magnetooptical effect at low temperatures (5.5 K) with polar Kerr rotation θk=0.18° at 1.65 eV and a very structured spectral dependence of θk different from that in the bulk samples
