Abstract
Power losses of electrical iron sheet were measured under controlled magnetizing conditions in which magnetic induction changes at a constant time rate for a fixed time and pauses at a certain induction for a varied time in every half magnetizing cycle. Considerable increase of losses per magnetizing cycle with pause time was found only in the case of magnetization pause at the maximum induction. The increase of losses is considered to be caused by an internal magnetization rearrangement accompanied by flux reversal after the pause period
