Abstract :
A 220- × 240-element liquid-crystal 2-in television display panel, using an MOSFET/capacitor array with gate-bus drivers integrated onto the same silicon substrate, has been developed. A gold-nickel alloy and polyimide resin have been applied as reflective display electrodes and insulating interlayer, respectively. In this panel, considerable reduction in the number of interconnections and good display contrast have been attained. MOS array construction and fabrication, gate-bus driver circuit configuration, and panel performance are described in this paper.
