Abstract
In a microwave multidiode limiter most of the line current flows through the input diode at high power. No design guideline exists in the literature for choosing optimum basewidth of the diode for high power handling capability. This paper gives design procedure for calculation of optimum basewidth for maximum power handling and shows that power handling capability increases with the increase in basewidth till a certain limit and then decreases for any further increase in basewidth.
