Abstract :
A vectorial nonlinear-network analyzer (VNNA) is absolutely calibrated in amplitude and phase for narrowband measurements of nonlinearities. Calibration is performed with a reference generator, characterized with a calibrated sampling oscilloscope. The reference signal, consisting of an upconverted baseband signal, is optimized for high signal-to-noise ratio measurements. Using the calibrated VNNA, narrowband amplifiers can be measured, enabling compensation of intermodulation and crossmodulation
