Abstract
Although near-term benefits are driving both telephone companies and cable operators to deliver residential services over optical fiber, in the longer term fiber enables new interactive, multimedia, switched “Information Age” services. The authors address residential fiber deployment, and opportunities for these two industries to work together in providing new services
