Abstract
Information technology equipment and specifically personal computers (PCs) are an essential and integral part of our business and every day lives. Upset or disruption of these systems from intentional or unintentional electromagnetic interference, is untenable, especially if the equipment is used in a security or safety critical application. The susceptibility level for several PCs has been assessed using the mode stirred (reverberation) chamber technique. Results are provided which demonstrate the good repeatability of the method used and trends in the susceptibility level with respect to PC specification, build quality, and batch quality.
