Abstract :
A current-sensitive CRT with a wider red-green color range has been realized by synthesis of new superlinear green and sublinear red phosphors and development of an improved narrow-beam electron gun with special focus-tracking characteristics. Unconventional brightness control by means of chopping circuits has been implemented. A 9-in current-sensitive CRT display with flat face, narrow linewidth, and unique color for computer output terminals has been demonstrated.
