Abstract
A technique for temperature-immune pressure measurement using a strain-induced quadratic-chirped fibre Bragg grating by differential optical power detection is demonstrated. Linear pressure measurement up to 20 kPa with a resolution of 0.05 kPa and thermal stability less than 2% full-scale for a temperature range from 0 to 80degC are achieved using pin photodiodes detection, without any temperature compensation
