Abstract
This paper describes a number of vacuum tube transmitters which have been developed and built during the past year, both for commercial use and the various governmental departments. It includes a discussion of the circuits utilized, and the reasons for adopting the present circuits in place of the former "antenna oscillators." The 20-kilowatt transmitters built for the United Fruit Company for installation in Central America, are described in detail, since they represent most completely the developments to date in medium power vacuum tube transmitters.
