It is my pleasure to give you an update on the DEIS Administrative Committee (AdCom) activities during 2014 and planned activities in 2015. In October 2014 AdCom re-elected Paul Lewin of the University of Southampton, UK, as administrative vice-president; Reimund Gerhard of the University of Potsdam, Germany, as technical vice-president; and myself, from the Naval Research Laboratory, Washington, DC, as president of DEIS. Our Constitution limits the terms of these three officers to two consecutive one-year appointments. Thus new officers will be elected by AdCom in October 2015. Requests for nominations will be sent out within the next few months.
