Abstract :
A technique of measuring sound velocity using the frequency multiplication type ultrasonic correlation system is described. Experiments with liquid and solid samples have been made at a frequency of 5 MHz. The results obtained for the liquid samples are in good agreement with those in the literature within 0.02%, whereas for solid samples, an agreement within 0.1% of the results by the PEO method has been attained.
