Using IMS as a Service Framework

While IMS was specified and is often presented as a fairly complex core network, it can also be perceived as a very powerful and simple service framework. This IMS service framework can be used to implement new services, but its main strength might eventually be in its ability to seamlessly integrate existing services and deliver them to end-users in an optimized manner.
