  • Abstract
    A switch array of order 4*4 suitable for high speed operation has been demonstrated using the electro-optic and carrier depletion effects in indium phosphide. The guided wave switch is suitable for monolithic integration with control electronics and lasers, detectors, amplifiers operating in the 1.55 mu m wavelength window.
