  • Abstract
    A handover algorithm which combines a backward and a forward handover procedure has been simulated under a mixed cell environment. By invoking the forward handover procedure, more than 70% of the lost calls due to backward handover failure could be recovered. Clearly, this algorithm is vital for a mixed cell system.
