Abstract :
A scheme synchronizing a long and a short laser pulse is presented. High-voltage semiconductor switching techniques have the timing precision to allow a very short regenerative amplifier cavity, which in turn minimizes the delay between the long and the short pulse. Emphasis is put on shot-to-shot reproducibility and the long-pulse limit of the system.
