Abstract :
An fuzzy-control IC for the function of auto-focusing of a video camera is developed. This fuzzy processor determines the location and the motion of the object by evaluating the focus value and luminance value, which are stored in two dimensional field array. Experiments of scene-dependent fuzzy inference were made intensively on auto-focusing for various objects in various situations with this IC. It revealed that fuzzy control performs an intelligent control in auto-focusing under the difficult situations
