Abstract
Construction techniques for a compact, high pulse repetition frequency 534.1 nm neutral manganese vapor laser are described. Nonmetallic oven shielding, vyton
ring discharge-tube mounting and sealing, compact design, and self-heating techniques were employed. An average laser output at 10 kHz was 300 mW with a wall plug efficiency of 0.2 percent.
