Abstract :
High-efficieney high-power parametric oscillation has been achieved in KNbO3pumped by the second harmonic of an Nd:YAG laser. Peak-pulse powers as high as 12 MW and an average power output of 770 mW were obtained. The oscillator is continuously tunable from 0.88 to 1.35 μm.
