Abstract :
Major electrical elements of a modern superheterodyne receiver-tuned radio-frequency amplifier, intermediate frequency amplifier detector and audio-frequency amplifier-are briefly discussed in light of recent developments. A practical automatic volume control is described. Curves illustrating the major performance characteristics of the receiver are shown.
