Abstract :
The authors demonstrate the experimental investigation of dark soliton amplification in an optical fibre. For the first time the stimulated Raman effect is used to compensate for 2.4 dB attenuation of dark solitons at 883 nm in a fibre approximately corresponding to three soliton distances
