Abstract :
A uranium liquid-argon calorimeter has been constructed to serve as the end calorimeter electromagnetic module for the D0 experiment at Fermilab. The author presents details of the construction and the results of tests made using electron beams ranging from 10 GeV to 150 GeV. The energy resolution is 15.5%/√E(GeV) with a small constant term of ~0.5%, and the response is linear to better than ±0.5%
