Abstract :
The Nyquist criterion for feedback stability is reformulated in a very simple fashion. Using the motion of positive and negative crossings, a number of encirclements of a point by the Nyquist plot can be quickly computed. With this reformulation, it is a simple matter to determine the value of the feedback gain for which the system is stable
