Abstract :
Mr. H.W. Houck was associated with the original development of the superheterodyne method of reception and has done pioneer work on the development of alternating-current operated radio receivers. His contributions to the art are indicated by the many patents issued in his name. Mr. Houck is a member of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers (AIEE) and is a Fellow of the Radio Club of America. He became an Associate member of the Institute of Radio Engineers in 1919, transferring to the grade of Member in 1928. A brief biography is provided.
