Abstract
Dr. Arthur H. Compton, Professor of Physics of the University of Chicago, will deliver a lecture on "Modern Conceptions of the Electron" during the Sixth Annual Convention of the Institute. A short biography of Dr. Compton is provided here. Dr. Compton is the youngest American to receive the Nobel Prize which was awarded to him for his investigations in the field of X-rays. He is one of the three Americans who have received this prize in the field of physics.
