Abstract
The microwave properties of the high-Tc oxides are studied. The frequency and temperature dependences of the impedance are obtained. Short coherence length leads to large losses. The effects of impurities and multigap structures are discussed, and the impedance of the proximity system is calculated. The presence of the acoustic plasmon branch leads to intrinsic residual losses
