Abstract
A Y-Ba-Cu-O superconducting tape of 124 phase was successfully synthesized at atmospheric pressure by pyrolysis of organic acid salts. T c(on)=80 K and T c(end)=70 K were obtained along with a J c of 2×104 A/cm2 at 4.2 K and 0 T. An addition of calcium was found to elevate the T c and improve the compactness of the film. The J c of this sample is 3.2×10 4 A/cm2 at 4.2 K and 0 T. The J c -B characteristic is better than that of the 124 phase without substitution
