Abstract
This paper presents a model to quantify the process migration impacts on environments composed of heterogeneous computers which results in a migration factor. This factor represents how much the computer load will decrease when another computer receives migrated processes. This factor is used to compose a migration process heuristic which aims at balancing the load of heterogeneous computers. Experimental results confirm the decrease of the process mean execution time, what implies in performance gain.
