Abstract :
In this paper we derive a set of sufficient conditions to obtain minimum phase two-dimensional planar least-squares inverses (PLSI´s). The result enlarges the class of two-dimensional polynomials for which the Shanks conjecture holds. We give examples to illustrate the application of the sufficient conditions in the stabilization of two-dimensional recursive digital filters.
