Calculation of Bleustein-Gulyaev wave parameters in KTiOPO/sub 4/ crystal

Abstract :
Velocities and electromechanical coupling coefficients of Bleustein-Gulyaev waves (GBW) were calculated for two cuts of KTiOPO/sub 4/ crystal. It was found that velocity and maximum electromechanical coupling coefficient of BGW are equal to about 4482 m/s and 7.4/spl middot/10/sup -4/, respectively. BGW in the crystal can find applications in chemical sensors.
